This had an immediate effect on my family and career. Overnight I had legal constraints ranging from no physical license to not being able to enter Canada, which was a requirement for my job. To add insult to injury this all played out live in my workplace as news of the arrest went viral. My family, who depends on me being the provider, was suddenly dragged into the situation as well.
